Experience of over 40 years
Basten GmbH is an owner-managed, medium-sized tax consulting and auditing company in Sulzbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt am Main. Located on the outskirts of Frankfurt, directly on highway 66, the company can also be quickly reached from Frankfurt Airport. The consulting company was founded in the early 1980s in Eschborn. Our employees are competent partners for German as well as international companies and have been advising them in tax and business matters for more than 40 years.
Providing our clients with personal advice and individual support is our top priority. Our goal is to work with you to develop a consulting concept that is individually tailored to your wishes and needs. A relationship based on mutual trust between our clients and us since the company was founded forms the basis for our cooperation.

Basten GmbH is a member of the DATEV professional association (data processing organisation for the tax consultancy professions) and uses the specialised DATEV database and EDP solutions. Basten GmbH also has access to the"Alliot Group"-network, a reference group of tax consultancy and auditing companies worldwide. This international reference group makes competent counselling on cross-border matters possible.

Our team of consultants consists of specialist employees from the fields of taxes and business consultancy with many years of professional experience and constantly participate in further training courses. We furthermore cooperate with notaries, lawyers specialized in economic and fiscal law and with legally independent Alliott partner offices worldwide.
Over the course of the past 40 years, we have handled and solved the widest range of cases and fiscal problems. The expertise that has thereby been gained so far is being preserved and constantly developed by way of the planned and regular further training of all partners and employees.

Dr. Sebastian Basten is a mathematician and, after obtaining his doctorate at Heidelberg University, worked as a management consultant for banks and insurance companies. He is a German chartered public auditor (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and manages Basten GmbH’s team for international clients since 2013. His focus of professional activity is in the field of company founding, start-up consulting, accounting and VAT reporting for the international clients.
Dipl. Kaufmann Hans-Joachim Basten is the founder and managing director of the company and has been active autonomously and extensively in the fields of tax consultancy and auditing since the nineteen eighties. He is a German chartered public auditor (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and German chartered tax advisor (Steuerberater) and since 2009 managing director of Basten GmbH.
